The Invading Wood
Step into a mystery where the wilderness itself is your enemy.
The Society is summoned to the remote valleys of Norway, where a malevolent forest has come alive near the village of Fåsdal. Once-thriving farmland has been swallowed by twisted trees, buildings lie in ruins, and fleeing villagers speak of dark forces within the woods. Now, the forest grows closer each day, threatening to engulf the entire valley. With a sheriff missing and refugees telling tales of demons and haunted trees, tensions are rising. Villagers demand action, but the local bailiff fears chaos if they attempt to reclaim their homes by force. The fate of Fåsdal—and perhaps the region—rests on your shoulders.
Will you uncover the forest’s ancient secrets before it consumes everything in its path?
This adventure can serve as an epic standalone experience or as part of an ongoing Vaesen campaign. Sign up for our email list for a FREE QuickStart later in 2024. We plan to have Rustwater available in print on demand by 2025. In addition to our core game, we have scheduled supplements on the city of Gokleve, new heritage groups, and several ready-to-play adventures. In the near future, we’ll have a Pocket Quest game and a psionic game as well.
